Driving Out of Alicante-Elche Airport

Leaving Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is relatively straightforward, and the airport is well connected to the region’s main roads.

As you leave the airport you approach a roundabout. Take a left turn for the AP-7 motorway (Autopista del Mediterráneo) and the N340. Alternatively, take the slip road to turn right onto the N-332.

The AP-7 is a toll road; if you don’t have euros, most booths accept credit or debit cards.

Petrol Stations near Alicante-Elche Airport

If you have to return your hire car to Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport with a full tank of petrol, you will need to know where the nearest stations are.

There are three near the airport…

Tangerina Galp is located two kilometres south of Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, with stations in both directions along the A7 highway.

Galp is just in front of the main area of Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport. However, you cannot access the petrol station if you are driving from the AP-7 motorway. To access from this direction, you will need to drive in the direction of Santa Pola, do a U-turn and return.

Campsa in El Altet is another alternative (just as convenient to access as Galp). Drive in the direction of Santa Pola towards the town of El Altet.

We recommend you check petrol station opening times to avoid disappointment, especially if you have an early or late flight and will be arriving at the airport during off-peak hours.
