The first week of EasyJet’s latest “Big Orange Sale” confirmed Alicante as one of the top five most popular destinations for holidaymakers planning their 2024 getaways from the U.K..
According to EasyJet and EasyJet Holidays, bookings were boosted during the first days of the “biggest ever Big Orange Sale”, which is offering up to 20 per cent off over two million seats across Europe and as much as £300 off package holidays.
In addition to Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, flights to Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva and Málaga completed the top five. The airline also reported that package holidays remain popular for 2024, with all-inclusive, seven-night breaks in highest demand during the first week of the sale.
“The booking trends follow recent research carried out by the airline in November 2023 that showed more than two-thirds of Brits (67 per cent) have said they are more likely to travel abroad in 2024 than in 2023. Protecting holiday spending remains a priority for most, with over three quarters (77 per cent) saying they will prioritise spending money on a holiday over anything else in their yearly budget – up from 70 per cent last year.”

The discounted fares are available for flights between 8 January and 30 November 2024, and they can be booked until 5 February at easyJet.com or via the mobile app for flights alongside package holidays at easyJet.com/holidays. The sale includes flights from Edinburgh to Alicante from £23.99.
All EasyJet holidays include 23 kilograms of luggage per person, flights and hotel and accommodations, as well as transfers on all beach holidays, and they are covered by the airline’s Ultimate Flexibility, which “includes a refund guarantee, freedom to change a booking and a best price guarantee”.
