Artistic-minded children still have a few days left to enter a competition to create a Christmas card design for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. Launched to “recruit little elves” and entertain youngsters during the October half-term, the competition remains open for entries up to 11.59pm on Sunday (7 November).
The airline and tour companies – key holiday operators at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport – plan to use the winning design as their official seasonal greetings card, to be sent to hoteliers and partners.
In addition to “seeing their design brought to life”, the winning youngster will receive a £1,000 voucher to go towards a summer 2022 family holiday with Jet2holidays.
The card has to feature a Christmas design that includes Santa either on a beach enjoying a holiday with Jet2holidays or on a Jet2.com aircraft. Parents then need to submit the design by posting in the comments section of the social media post announcing the competition: Facebook (@jet2) or Twitter (@jet2tweets). The winner will be selected on 8 November, the day after entries close.
“It is never too early to think about Christmas,” said Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy. “We thought it was the ideal time to launch our Christmas card competition. Not only will the competition help entertain children, but it will also sprinkle a little festive magic. We are looking for bright and colourful designs of Santa enjoying a beach day, or onboard a Jet2.com flight, so sharpen those pencils and get creative. We are looking forward to seeing all the designs, and we wish everyone who enters the best of luck.”
