Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has been honoured in the European Property Awards for a second consecutive year. During the awards ceremony held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, competing against leading property estates and resorts throughout the main European regions, Las Colinas received top honours in the “Residential Development Spain” category – being crowned as Spain’s leading sustainable golf and residential resort.
In addition to recognition in the same category last year, the golf and country club was also named as Europe and Spain’s “Leading Villa Resort” in the 2019 World Travel Awards.
Located in Orihuela Costa (74 kilometres from Alicante and 63 kilometres from Murcia), Las Colinas has now been entered into the overall international awards which, later this year, will determine “the world’s finest property companies”.
The European Property Awards cover more than 45 residential and commercial categories, with the judging panel of 80 industry experts focusing on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability.
Commenting on this latest honour, managing director Cristobal Guerrero said, “To be awarded in the prestigious European Property Awards again recognises that Las Colinas continues to lead the way in the sustainable property industry in Europe. The resort has a synergy with the natural environment, using the indigenous flora, fauna and topography to its advantage while simultaneously protecting and preserving it for generations to come.
“This achievement signifies that the high quality and sustainability of the villas and apartments for sale at Las Colinas makes them the perfect choice for a first or second home.”
He said the key to Las Colinas Golf & Country Club’s award-winning sustainability was its world-class architecture. “The energy-saving features of its houses, cutting-edge design and technology future-proofs the properties and provides owners with an investment that will hold its value and maintain its appeal for many years.”
Added Silvia Llanes, head of innovation and development at parent company Gmp, “Las Colinas Golf & Country Club continues to be a top choice for property owners who are interested in experiencing the sustainable Mediterranean lifestyle in Europe.
“We have responded to the shifting demands of buyers in golf resorts by offering high-quality homes that show tangible value for money. The resort’s appeal extends far beyond golf. The recent opening of the new Las Colinas Sports & Health Club has only strengthened the destination status of the resort, which we hope to continue to develop in the future.”
The Sports and Health Club is part of ongoing developments for the resort, which already has a Cabell B. Robinson-designed 18-hole course, the Miguel Ángel Jiménez Short Game Facility, a stylish clubhouse and a beach club overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Luxury apartments and villas in low-density housing communities with views of the course are available for holiday rentals and for sale.
