Four hotel resorts in Alicante province have been named “Best in Spain” in their respective World Travel Awards national categories.
Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa received the “Best Hotel” in Spain award and La Finca Golf & Spa Resort topped the voting for “Best Sports Resort”. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club was named “Best Villas Resort” in Spain, as well as winning the European category for “Leading Resort Villas”. The fourth Alicante winner, AR Diamante Beach SPA & Convention Centre, received the “Best Family Resort” in Spain prize, and also picked up one of the awards in the Mediterranean category as “Best Beach Hotel”.
In addition, in the World Golf Awards which just concluded in the United Arab Emirates Las Colinas Golf & Country Club was named Spain’s “Best Golf Course, and La Finca Golf & Spa Resort the “Best Golf Hotel” in Spain.
A Royal Hideaway establishment, Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa (pictured) is located in the Sierra Cortina area on the Mediterranean coastline north of Alicante city. It comprises more than 300 spacious rooms surrounded by exotic gardens and pool areas decorated in a Balinese style, as well as four restaurants offering guests a fusion of Asian, Mediterranean and international cuisine.
Also receiving an award, as the “Best Car Rental Company” in Spain, was Sixt – one of the leading car hire operators at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.
The national and regional recipients of this year’s World Travel Awards were announced at the end of October, while the world category winners will be unveiled on 26 November at WTA’s Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Moscow.
