Ryanair has named Alicante as one of its top three destinations for an Easter holiday. Noting that it was expecting more than 3.5 million passengers to fly with the low-cost airline during the Easter period, Ryanair highlighted Alicante and its popular Costa Blanca resorts together with Málaga and the Canary Islands as its main favourites.
“Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, Alicante is a must-see destination for tourists looking for a balance between partying and relaxation. In addition to its stunning beaches, this vibrant city has perfect neighbourhoods for leisure and numerous restaurants and tapas bars where you can taste Mediterranean food. Benidorm, one of Spain’s favourite tourist destinations, is nearby, so a short getaway to this city is also possible.”
Elena Cabrera, country manager for Spain and Portugal, said Ryanair had chosen its top Easter 2024 destinations to inspire tourists who still hadn’t made their holiday plans.
“Whether you’re looking for a getaway to relax and warm up in the early summer sunshine, want to explore and discover a new town or city, or simply want to visit family and friends and make some memorable memories, Ryanair offers the lowest fares and the widest choice of destinations in Europe.”
Additional Alicante Flights with Vueling
Meanwhile, Vueling has announced it is also boosting its services over Easter (from today until 1 April), with three weekly flights between Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport and Roma Fiumicino.
Vueling is offering several new international connections around Europe for the Easter period, including flights between Alicante-Elche and Paris-Orly, as well as Alicante-Oran and Alicante-Algiers, which have also been incorporated into its previously announced summer schedule.
